What is this blog about???(Sobre o que é esse blog???)

This blog was created to keep up with a story... 5 friends who took a year off from university to travel around the world. "Strange? Crazy? Not gonna work?" Might be, but we're gonna try...
Here's the plan:

     - 7 months in the USA to raise the money
     - 1 month in the Caribean and Central America
     - 3 months in Europe
     - 1 month in Africa
     - 3 months in Asia
     - 1 month in Oceania

Whenever things happen, we're gonna be posting here...

All of you who don't want to read a lot and just check out some pictures, go to my picasa album (click here)

     - 1 mês no Caribe e América Central
     - 3 meses na Europa
     - 1 mês na África
     - 3 meses na Ásia
     - 1 mês na Oceania

medida que as coisas forem acontecendo a gente vai colocando por aqui...

Destination #6: Cascades D'Ouzoud

P7200144 After the trip to the Sahara... Felipe, Rapa and Ivan left to Madrid, while Playboy and I had about a week more in Morocco...

We knew we wanted to go and climb mt. Jebel Toubkal before we left the country (and that should a couple of days) so we definitely had some time to check out something else. We decided to go take a look at Cascades D'Ouzoud, the most famous waterfalls in Morocco... they're not far from Marrakech, and you can easily do a day-trip to go over there...

P7200124 Unfortunately this is one of the places from which I lost some pictures, when my camera got robbed in Poland later on... but Playboy took some also, and these are the ones I'm showing...

The cascades are really nice... when you arrive by car or bus you can go to the stairs and go directly to the bottom of the waterfall, and there's another way around that you can go to the very top of the waterfall...

It's possible to go swimming there, but it's actually a little dirty on the bottom of the big waterfall... but if you just keep following the river for another 10 min or so, there are smaller waterfalls that are great for a swim...
